Wooll settle into a snuggly sound with new EP ‘Frickish’

Here we are, five days after Daylight Saving Time ended, and Wooll’s already tucking us in for hibernation season. That’s not a complaint — the Providence band’s new EP Frickish is 19 minutes of snuggly, subdued shoegaze. The project arrived today (November 6) and follows their May album Thistle, home to one of our favorite tracks of 2025, “LIC.” Although there’s a few new SOTY contenders in the ring from Frickish: Twisting opener “By the Skin of My (Your) Teeth,” the mellowed-out title track, and the iridescent instrumental “Rumble Pony.” Tune in below, and see Wooll perform this Saturday at Myrtle in Providence with Museum Legs and Jake McKelvie & His New Old Band.
