Chainlacing beat the (depressing) heat with new song ‘Parasol’

Summer’s all fun and games until the heatwaves become a weighted blanket that pin you to the sofa. As if to fight fire with fire, Chainlacing have entered the season with the new single called “Parasol,” a droning curtain of “gloomgaze” that’s soaked with palpable humidity. The single arrived earlier this month (July 8), following the New Hampshire group’s March Aftersee EP. “I wanted to write a song about how summer makes me feel insane and the way rick [Martel] produced this song… perfectly gets this across,” guitarist Lauren Crosser writes on Instagram. “Parasol” might not shield you from July’s sunbeams, but it sure as hell can bear the burden of another hazy day. Tune in below.
