The only thing we love more than a cool new summer music festival is a cool new summer music festival we can drive to. So we’re psyched for the launch of Back Cove Music & Arts Festival, a new fest in Maine that goes down August 2 and 3 at Payson Park on the waterfront in Portland.

And the lineup for the inaugural edition is solid, with headliners Jack White and Lord Huron leading an healthy slate that features André 3000, Lucy Dacus, Turnpike Troubadours, Margo Price, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Ripe, Portland’s own Weakened Friends, and others.

Back Cove is produced by New England-based live event companies Shore Sound and GoodWorks, who combined have been behind Connecticut festivals like Hartford’s Capitol Groove and Bridgeport’s Soundside/Sound On Sound and Rhode Island’s Rhythm and Roots in Charleston.

“Producing a music and arts festival with the city of Portland is a great privilege for us,” says Shore Sound’s Jordan Wolowitz and GoodWorks’ Tyler Grill in a press statement. “Portland is made up of an incredible community of creatives, home to a world class food and beverage scene, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s in one of the most beautiful areas in the country. We are thrilled to introduce the Back Cove Music & Arts Festival to the city, and through it, put a focus on the musicians, restaurants, food-trucks, breweries, and artists that make Portland and the great state of Maine such a special place.”

With a relatively simple ticket tier system, two-day and single-day general admission and VIP tickets go on sale a week from today, March 6 at noon local ET. 12pm EST. Hit the homepage for details, and check the full lineup below.
