Mae Martin plays very much alive with ‘The Possum’ at The Wilbur

The go-to defense for a possum may be to play dead, but by no means does Mae Martin intend on following suit. In fact, they are very much alive and ready to show it in Boston.

As announced earlier this week, Martin – one of the comedy game’s brightest stars – is making their debut at The Wilbur in the spring, as they’ve planned a night at the legendary venue for April 8, as part of their upcoming Possum tour. If you haven’t had an opportunity to catch them destroying in a live setting before, fear not, as Martin has been featured in multiple Netflix projects over the past few years, including their stand-up special Sap, as well as roles in the comedy series Feel Good, and Wayward. Martin can also be seen and heard as a co-host of the hit podcast Handsome, alongside fellow comedy powerhouses Fortune Feimster and Tig Notaro.

Over in Medford, Aries Spears makes his way back to the area next summer for one night at Chevalier Theatre on June 26.

Additionally, New England’s own Bob Marley has added a second show to his annual holiday stop at The Wilbur on December 27.
