Editor’s Note: What else is there to say about Boston Calling? This year’s festival was a total blast, and not even the chilly temps, occasional downpour, and gloomy clouds — sorry for predicting all that earlier this month for Vivid Bloom’s set — could put a damper on the vibes around Harvard Athletic Complex.
As usual, Vanyaland was all over the place, with Brittany Rose Queen capturing photo galleries from damn-near every performance and field reporters Victoria Wasylak and Jason Greenough conducting interviews, spotlighting the best songs heard, spotting choice sports jerseys, sampling the variety of eats, and pointing out the must-do experiences all three days had to offer. In honor of 2025, we rolled out The V List for all editorial coverage — five images from each set, five songs we loved, five things we ate, etc. — and kept the theme all weekend.
Which makes our final number of articles kinda crazy.
Starting Friday afternoon and wrapping up right now, we published 55 articles (how’s that for fate?) direct from the friendly confines of festival’s Media Tent, where the camaraderie amongst our press and radio friends was a welcome tonic to the toxicity of the real world. And in fact, those positive vibes extended across the festival grounds. It was just a dang good time, and a welcome break from the madness and insanity that is life in 2025.
