If in 2003 you had told me that the lead singer of Evanescence would someday collaborate with a Boston-born kawaii YouTube star who’s slayed her metalcore glow-up, I would have told you, “I don’t know what half of those words mean.” But here we are in 2025, and Amy Lee has linked up with Poppy for a volcanic kiss-off titled “End of You.”
The slash-and-burn single also features Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante, aligning three of metal’s modern sirens. As one commenter wrote on an Instagram post announcing the collaboration, “I am so ready for Black Metal ABBA.” And you know what? They’re not totally wrong.
“End of You” joins Poppy’s other recent metal collabs: “from me to u” with BABYMETAL, “Suffocate” with Knocked Loose, and “V.A.N.” with Bad Omens. Her latest record, Negative Spaces, arrived last November.
Trash along with the trio below.
